RETRAX Tonneau Covers Editorial Review
The RetraxONE XR Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover aims to keep as much water out of the bed as possible. It's available in a polycarbonate cover and an aluminum cover. The cover is relatively simple to install with the help of an instructional video or manual. Although there are no stake cutouts, the covers generally don't have any major differences between the Lexan and aluminum versions. However, the warranties and durability vary between the two. This cover seems to be well-made, has numerous positive reviews, and works well with the Yakima bed rack. It seals the bed relatively well, with a few people experiencing leaks over the tailgate area. The locking mechanism is only on one side, which could make it less secure. Some of the negatives include occasional damage upon delivery, buckle formation, and problems installing with a plastic bed liner. The installation of the cover requires you to cut and modify the bed liner. The latch could be redesigned and hidden to eliminate the need for a keyed latch.
