KYB Shocks & Struts Editorial Review
The KYB 339278 Excel-G Gas Strut is praised for its good shock absorption once installed, despite some installation difficulties. Some users found the strut to be 1.5" shorter than the original, requiring extra effort to compress the spring for installation. However, once in place, the strut performed well under the weight of the car. Some users received the wrong part despite the correct part number on the box, causing inconvenience and potential issues with disassembly. Additionally, there were complaints that the strut was not the right fit for a 2012 Honda Civic due to being 1.5 inches shorter than needed, leading to returns and the need to purchase alternatives.
