BOLT Doors 7022699 Editorial Review
The BOLT 7023550 Toolbox Latch Retrofit Kit for Side Cut Ford Keys is a popular choice among customers looking to upgrade their toolbox locks. The kit is versatile and can be used with various toolboxes, including those from Kobalt, Husky, UWS, Better Built, and Tractor Supply. Customers appreciate the convenience of using the same key as their Ford truck, eliminating the need for multiple keys. The lock and latch are reported to be of better quality than the original ones, with the lock functioning smoothly and securely. Installation is generally easy, although some customers have had to make minor adjustments, such as filing down the striker plate or enlarging the cutout on the toolbox. The kit comes with the necessary rivets, but there have been complaints about the rivets being too short, leading to the need for replacement. While many customers have had positive experiences with this product, there have been some negative feedback. One recurring issue is the key stop working after a certain period, with some customers reporting it happening as soon as a few weeks after installation. There are also complaints about the overall quality, with reports of locks bending or breaking. Overall, the BOLT 7023550 Toolbox Latch Retrofit Kit for Side Cut Ford Keys is a convenient and easy way to upgrade toolbox locks to use the same key as a Ford truck. However, there are some concerns about the durability of the lock and the length of the rivets provided.
