Iomega 33723 REV 35GB Disk (5-Pack)

The Iomega 33723 REV 35GB Disk 5-Pack has garnered a mixed reception from users, particularly given the broader context of available data storage solutions. Customers who have utilized the REV system for years appreciate the reliability and durability of the disks, praising their performance for high-volume backup tasks. Users have noted that while these disks hold up well over time and serve effectively as replacement units, they feel the prices remain high when compared to more modern storage alternatives, such as external drives, which boast lower cost per gigabyte. There is a nostalgic appreciation for the REV technology, but also a looming sense of obsolescence, as customers express concern over the long-term viability of their investment should Iomega cease production of the accompanying REV drives. This leaves users in a potentially precarious position if their current hardware fails. The Consistent performance under regular use stands out as a strong point, but the ongoing financial burden for replacement disks in comparison to cheaper options has left some users disillusioned. Overall, while the Iomega REV disks function well for those who are already integrated into the ecosystem, the high cost and the uncertainty of future support provide significant hesitations for new customers. **
