    Answer: Q4690512 is used with the expansion tool not the crimp tool. All the Propex items are for the expansion system.

    Answer: No you cannot expand anything sold at HomeDepot it doesn’t have any memory, you expand it and it stays expanded. There are 3 types of pex a b and c. I forget which you need I believe it’s a.
  • Question: How can you tell which side is the top and bottom? Is the plastic fitting supposed to be inserted a particular way?

    Answer: The fitting only goes on the pipe one way. If it doesn't fit then flip it over. Just slide it onto the pipe. Make sure it is the correct type of pipe.
  • Question: Will these work with the colored aquapex tubing?

    Answer: I don't think so. These are for type a tubing. The colored is type b. I think you need the metal critical part type. YouTube it.
  • Question: Will these rings work on all Pex A pipe?

    Answer: Since the different grade of Pex pipe have to meet specific specs, I would think these rings would fit any pex a tubing. They certainly fit on my pex A tubing. You should check with Uponor to make sure.
  • Question: Can these be used in a compressed air system?

    Answer: Although these are designed for use in a water system there should be no problem with compressed air as long as the pressure does not exceed the design limits. Typically, the water pressure in houses is in the 50-60 PSI range but beyond that you will want to get the design specifications to know if it will fit your needs.
  • Question: Many RV's use type a pex but the rings are red for hot water and blue for cold water. Can you get colored rings instead of white?

    Answer: Uponor has only white color ring.
  • Question: What is the ID, OD and length of this fitting, in inches? Also, what material is this product made of?

    Answer: You can look those dimensions on Uponor under Product Overview. Length and ID is 0.63 inches. OD is 0.87 inches. Made of PEX A...whatever chemicals it takes to make the plastic ring.
  • Question: Are these rings intended to only work with ProPEX fittings, or can they be used with other brands of expansion style fittings? Anything proprietary?

    Answer: Should work with any fittings that is the correct size!
  • Question: Can these rings be used on any type a pex, of differing brands?

    Answer: No. These will only work on pex-A. Uponor for example is a manufacturer of pex-A.
