The Stubai Hatchet Hachita is a 600g axe that is made in Austria. The head of the hatchet was loose out of the box, which is disappointing for a new “decent quality European” hatchet. However, the customer was able to fix it with a new wedge. The red plastic hang-hook was difficult to remove, and some of the wedge came with it. It would have been better if there was a steel safety wedge to avoid this issue. The wooden wedge fell out, exposing the slot, which was poorly made. But after repairing it, the customer was happy with the performance of the hatchet. It has solid Construction and materials, and the head fitted straight on the handle with no gaps. The axe bit is slim and penetrates wood easily. The price of this hatchet stands out compared to other throwing axes that cost two or three times more.
