Answer: Yes. It would! We recently used it to make chocolates in molds. I mostly use it to pour hard candy into molds. -

Would this work for hard candy?
Answer: Yes, it works for molten hard candy, though I'd recommend a stainless steel one instead. -

Would this work well with hot soup?
Answer: I would think not. It is made for more viscous liquids. I would think the valve would leak. Also, the larger chunks of meat would clog the throat of it. If you were serving bowls, it would only do two of three before requiring a refill. It would also be quite heavy with soup sloshing about. -

Can I set a specific portion size, for example 10 grams to fill 10 gram mould cavities?
Answer: There are markings on the funnel, 50ml to 1100ml. So if you wanted 10 grams you might have to measure out the amount first -

Would this work for making caramels?
Answer: I haven't had good luck making any candy with it. Tip constantly clogs. -

Can this be used for hard candy mixture?
Answer: I would say that the hard candy mixture cools too quickly, and then it would solidify, and jam in the funnel. Even with chocolate, I must move somewhat quick, or it too, would clog it up. So I would look for something else. -

Does this work with chunky ingredients in the chocolate?
Answer: No. It works best with smooth ingredients like pancake batter, melted chocolate and hard candy syrup (thats what i use it for).
