Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What features does the Mirror Dash Cam offer?
Answer: The Mirror Dash Cam is equipped with advanced features, including a wireless connection for Apple Carplay and Android Auto, allowing seamless integration with smartphones. With its 11.26-inch display, it provides a clear view of the front and rear cameras, both capable of 1080P resolution. Additionally, features like voice control, night vision, WDR for managing bright and dark light transitions, parking assistance, and loop recording enhance your driving experience by ensuring safety and convenience. -
Question:
How does the night vision feature work in the Mirror Dash Cam?
Answer: The night vision feature utilizes infrared technology to ensure clear video recording in low-light conditions. This capability is essential for safe driving during nighttime or in poorly lit areas, providing visibility that captures critical details, such as license plates and surrounding traffic. Whether you're driving through dark streets or parking in dimly lit lots, the night vision functionality ensures you can rely on your dash cam to document the environment accurately. -
Question:
Can I control the Mirror Dash Cam with voice commands?
Answer: Yes, the Mirror Dash Cam supports voice control that allows hands-free operation. This feature is especially beneficial while driving, as it lets you adjust settings or start recording without taking your hands off the steering wheel. For instance, you can say commands to activate the rear camera or review footage, ensuring that your focus remains on the road while still having full control over your device. -
Question:
What is WDR and why is it important in a dash cam?
Answer: Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) is a technology that balances light levels in your recordings, ensuring that both bright and dark areas are visible. This is critical for dash cams, especially in environments with harsh sunlight or abrupt transitions from light to shadow. By using WDR, users can capture clearer images without losing detail, making it easier to identify unexpected events or other vehicles on the road. -
Question:
How does the loop recording feature function?
Answer: Loop recording automatically overwrites the oldest footage once the memory card is full, ensuring that you always have the latest recordings stored. This is particularly useful for daily drivers who may need ongoing video evidence for various situations. For example, if an incident occurs, you can access the most recent clips without worrying about deleting older files manually. -
Question:
Is the dual camera feature beneficial for safety?
Answer: Absolutely! The dual camera setup records both the front and rear views simultaneously at 1080P, enhancing safety by providing comprehensive visibility around your vehicle. This is particularly helpful while reversing or changing lanes, as it captures unexpected obstacles or offers evidence in case of a mishap. It's a great way to ensure you're always aware of your surroundings. -
Question:
What is the role of the FM transmitter in the Mirror Dash Cam?
Answer: The FM transmitter allows you to connect your mirror dash cam to your vehicle's audio system, enabling you to play audio from the camera through your car's speakers. This is particularly useful for listening to navigation prompts or music from your smartphone seamlessly. It enriches your driving experience by enhancing hands-free functionality and audio clarity. -
Question:
How do I install the Mirror Dash Cam in my vehicle?
Answer: Installing the Mirror Dash Cam is straightforward as it is designed to fit over your existing rear-view mirror. First, align the cam with your mirror, secure it using the provided straps, and connect the power cable to your vehicle's power source. Once set up, you can adjust the angle for optimal recording. This installation allows you to maintain your vehicle's interior aesthetics while ensuring maximum functionality. -
Question:
Can the Mirror Dash Cam be used in various weather conditions?
Answer: Yes, the Mirror Dash Cam is built to operate under various weather conditions. Its robust construction is designed to withstand heat, rain, and cold, ensuring it functions reliably in different climates. Whether you’re driving through torrential rain or under bright sunlight, the cam’s night vision and WDR features work to provide reliable recording performance. -

AMprime In-Mirror Video Editorial Review
**** The AMPrime Mirror Dash Cam impresses with its innovative features and thoughtful design, aiming to enhance the driving experience significantly. Users admire the seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which provides convenient access to navigation, music, and communication systems directly from the high-quality 9.66" touchscreen. The camera offers a dual-view system with 1080P resolution that captures clear footage day and night, although some users reported challenges with the rear camera's performance in low-light situations. Installation appears to pose some challenges, as several customers noted the difficulty in wiring for a clean setup. Once installed, the functionality and user-friendliness make the dash cam a valuable addition to any vehicle, particularly for those who prefer to avoid bulky windshield-mounted screens. The customizable rear camera feature received positive feedback, with users being able to repurpose it for interior use. Furthermore, the integration of parking assistance and monitoring serves to improve safety while driving. While the AMPrime Mirror Dash Cam has garnered a positive reception overall, there are noted Cons such as wiring complexity and certain issues with night visibility from the rear camera. However, many users feel these drawbacks are outweighed by the product’s numerous benefits, including its advanced features and solid customer service support. **
