Fantasy Editorial Review
The Sandman: Dream Hunters is a beautiful adaptation of Neil Gaiman's novella, skillfully illustrated by P. Craig Russell. This reprint, published by DC Vertigo in October 2010, spans 144 pages and is a part of The Sandman Presents series. The story set in feudal Japan explores the touching relationship between a fox spirit and a lonely monk, with Morpheus, the Lord of the Dreaming, playing a supporting role. Readers have praised the lyrical prose and stunning artwork, noting that it captures the essence of Japanese folklore while maintaining the quality fans expect from the Sandman universe. The artwork's dreamlike quality enhances the tale, making it an essential read for both fans of the series and newcomers alike.
