According to a customer support representative, the OWC Mercury Pro should burn to the Verbatim BDXL discs, which have a capacity of 100GB. The unit comes with necessary cables and power supply. The device supports standard Audio CD formats and can use USB 2.0 equipped computers. The maximum write speed of the discs it writes on vary. One review found that the LG optical drive inside of the device is no longer compatible with ripping 4k Blu-rays with its most recent firmware update. Another review expressed that Windows 11 pro could not detect the optical drive despite easy installation.
