Drama Editorial Review
**Editorial Review** "Cursed" is a Wes Craven-led romp through the world of werewolves that artfully combines horror and humor. The film presents a unique take on the werewolf genre by keeping the identity of the creature a mystery until the latter parts, building suspense while focusing on the story of a brother-sister duo, played by Christina Ricci and Joshua Jackson, as they navigate their post-accident transformation into potential werewolves themselves. The film showcases impressive special effects, particularly in the werewolf transformations, which satisfy fans of the genre. Noteworthy comedic moments, such as a scene where Ricci's character sniffs at a scent of blood while a co-worker misinterprets her actions, add levity to the horror, making it a fun viewing experience. Audience members are charmed by the chemistry of the cast, which includes not just Ricci and Jackson but also a cameo appearance by the band Bowling for Soup, adding an element of nostalgia for fans. While some viewers might find the limited appearances of the werewolf itself to detract from the experience, others appreciate the tension that this choice creates. As a PG-13 film, "Cursed" opts against nudity and spares some of the more traditional gore associated with R-rated horror, leading to mixed feelings about whether it meets horror film expectations based on its rating. The humor and charm throughout the movie, however, appear to elevate it beyond traditional horror norms for many fans, making it a beloved addition to their collections. "Cursed" is embraced as a fun, light-hearted, and nostalgic film, resonating particularly well during Halloween gatherings or casual movie nights. **
