The smallest insulation size is quite big, even for thicker wires like 18 AWG. While it is still possible to use the wire side for insulation crimps, the results may not be as aesthetically pleasing. Despite this small drawback, the overall results are much cleaner compared to other crimpers on the market. The Molex 63811-1000 is particularly recommended for left-handed individuals, as some high-end crimp tools are designed for right-hand use.
