Monoprice Amplifiers Editorial Review
The Monolith Hi-Res DAC Headphone Amp in black with Savitech SA922 Controller, 32-bit HyperStream is a plug and play device, requiring the savitech sa922 driver to function. It cannot be used with Xbox One controllers or the Nintendo Switch. When using headphones, it is recommended to have the computer's volume all the way up and control the volume with the DAC's buttons. If using line level for an audio system, have both all the way up. Overall, customers have been pleased with the Monolith Hi-Res DAC Headphone Amp's sound quality, finding it to be a significant improvement over their previous setups. Some reviewers noted that the volume control buttons were a bit finicky and that the DAC ran a bit hot after prolonged use, but these were minor issues overall. **
