Answer: Upon checking, we do not suggest this shade sail to be anchored to vinyl siding, When the vinyl gets cold enough, any impact against it will cause it to fracture or crack. And this sail needs to be drilled. We suggest you set this shade sail on another surface like a wall or wood. -

Answer: The installation is more to be permanent as the pad eye needs to be nailed into the wall or wooden surface, then you can hang the sail via turnbuckles or snap hooks. If you want to move the sail to other places, you can reach us for an extra set of hardware kit for your new installation place.

This sunshade sail canopy from Quictent is a good quality product that is able to withstand wind well. However, it is recommended to hang it from a sturdy base and use good rope to do so. The D rings are made of 316 grade stainless steel and all edges of the shade sail are double stitched. The free hardware kit that comes with it includes: Turnbuckle x 2pcs, Pad eye x 4pcs, Snap Hookx 2pcs, Screw x 16pcs, and Plastic expansion x 16pcs. The installation is more permanent in nature as there is a need to nail the pad eye into the wall or wooden surface, and then hang the sail via turn buckles or snap hooks. The color looks great but some customers have reported that the color rubs off onto hands when installing. One customer did report that the inner dimensions were listed as 18'x18' on the 20'x20' but only measured 17'x17' after installation and stretch, and that the fabric is thinner when compared to other brands. Another customer had to return the product as it was ultimately too large for them.
