Gyros Cut-Off Wheels 80-18105 Editorial Review
The Gyros mandrels with 18" shank and arbor hole are designed to allow larger cutting wheels to be mounted on a Dremel. The overall length is 1 5/8" with the "fat" part being 1/2" without and 5/8" long with the washer and screw. They feature a 1/4" x 28 TPI mounting screw and come with a slightly larger washer to support the larger tool head. However, this can result in an out-of-balance situation that can be dangerous when operated at high speed. The mandrel shank is soft and can easily bend, but can be heat-treated to make it more usable. Overall, customers were happy with its functionality, quality, and sturdiness.
