Users have to apply a heavy coat in truly bad sections of their deck and give the product time to work. The product works best with good preparation and careful application. For the most case, the product worked great on filthy wood covered in old oil based finishes with careful application. There were instances where the product didn't live up to expectations and had a negative effect. One user mentioned the product worked great stripping 3 coats of stain from their log home with a 20-30 minute dwell time for the HD80. Additionally, the Citralic is easy to use and works well.
