Dark Fantasy Editorial Review
The Atlas Six (Atlas Series, 1) is an enthralling dark academia fantasy novel by Olivie Blake that delves into the world of a secret society. The story follows six gifted Medians competing for a spot in the legendary Alexandrian Society, where knowledge and magic intertwine, but only five will succeed. The book's captivating premise involves navigating complex character dynamics, moral ambiguity, and the looming threat of elimination, which keeps readers engaged. Reviewers have praised the powerful character-driven narrative and the immersive storytelling, especially noting the unique approach of using multiple narrators to give distinct voices to the characters. However, some found the storytelling occasionally unsettling due to the disjointed narration and unresolved plot threads. Fans of dark academia and magic will be intrigued by the high-stakes competition and rich themes woven throughout the narrative.
