The Makita FD10R1 12V max CXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/4" Hex Driver-Drill is a great product and it's very easy to use. While it is not an impact drill, it still works great for using 2" bits. It's not compatible with 18v batteries, however, Makita still supports CXT and continues to make products for it. The quick release chuck does not lock open and there is a compatible keyless chuck available, but it can make the driver front-heavy and unbalanced. It's not a brushless motor, but it works well and is highly recommended for its price.
