Jewish Life Editorial Review
The Schottenstein Edition of the Talmud: English Full Size, Berachos, Vol. 1 is receiving an overwhelmingly positive reception among customers, particularly those who are new to the study of Talmud or are looking for an accessible version in English. Reviewers appreciate the user-friendly layout that features Hebrew on one side and English translation with extensive commentary on the other. This thoughtful design allows for a deeper understanding of the text, particularly through the well-structured footnotes that provide additional insights from prominent rabbinical sources. The book is noted not only for its intellectual utility but also for its aesthetic appeal. Many customers rave about the high-quality binding and visually striking features, such as gold lettering and a raised emblem, making it an attractive addition to any bookshelf. Readers have highlighted the book's durability and beautiful Construction, which encourages regular use without concerns over wear and tear. While there are some remarks about the unconventional reading order (with the spine facing the right and reading starting from the right page), most users find it a minor inconvenience compared to the wealth of knowledge the edition provides. Overall, whether it serves as a starting point for new learners or a reference for seasoned scholars, this volume promises a significant benefit for anyone seeking to explore the depths of Talmudic thought. **
