The Fishman Full Circle Upright Bass Pickup in the 6x1mm format receives positive reviews, with customers reporting that it is a great pickup and a good replacement for other brands. However, the review notes that pickup descriptions are subjective and are affected by the bass and strings being used. According to the reviewer, the Full-Circle lacks the deepness of other pickups but has more attack and is more precise. A pre-amp with an EQ is needed to get the lower frequencies out of this pickup, and it sounds bad when played arco, lacking fundamental frequencies. The mid frequencies around 1-2k hz are extremely pronounced and sound "pretty terrible." The Realist works great on most amps without a pre-amp, while Full-Circle needs it as impedance matching is required. The Full-Circle is better contained in the adjuster wheel and less prone to feedback than The Realist, and it reproduces the sound of the bass accurately. To conclude, these are both great pickups, and the Full-Circle is definitely worth trying.
