What size are the slider nuts?
Answer: The channel is 0.245 inches (6 mm). The Allen head screw is M5 x 0.8 x 30 mm. If converting to US materials I would recommend a 12 x 24 x 1-1/4 screw and grind shoulders onto a #12 nut for the channel size. I have used mine on 29 blades without a problem. Could over tightening have contributed to your failures? Blades only need to be clamped against movement during grinding. -
