The Auto Meter 6945 Cobalt Digital Pyrometer E.G.T. is a great tuning tool for cars, with no audio alarm hookups, temp warning alert settings, and just a display of the current exhaust gas. This product comes along with a probe and wiring with about a 8-foot lead that snaps onto the gauge. Autometer is right about the numbers not changing rapidly, and thus, it does not distract while driving. The numbers are Considered exceptionally bright at night, and they needed to be dimmed via a dimmer or by finding a way to tie in with the dash lights. The 1/8 inch NPT threaded product does not include a weld-in bung, so one must tap the hole they drill in their exhaust manifold. Nonetheless, the installation is relatively easy.
