This is a heavy-duty metal vent that can be used both indoors and outdoors. It is not adjustable, but it is of good quality and is reasonably priced. The product arrives with a wrong paint for aluminum, which may cause the paint to chip off during delivery. It is not 10.5" X 10.5" inside, but rather it is measured at 9.875" X 9.875" and the external dimensions are 11.75" X 11.75". It is a nice product and comes with a mesh screen that is 1mm in size which can be added to prevent dirt particles from entering. The grill is not easily removable, but this will not prevent it from being used as an insert for a water heater vent or for ventilation of chickens in their coop, or for a generator in a small shed.
