The Zurn Wilkins 1-NR3XLDU 1" Pressure Reducing Valve is a highly popular regulator to alleviate high pressure levels affecting plumbing and fixtures. This industrial-strength valve comes with a union to facilitate connection and future removal. The Zurn Wilkins unit fails to function with Watts brand regulator threading. Although low water pressure levels can flow through it, water flow will not occur if there is no pressure at all. There is no indication of a minimum operating pressure level which makes water flow possible within the regulator. Its adaptable design with twin unions or none, or can be used together with both. Handling corrosive water is not recommended, and it is advisable to invest in a water neutralization system before using the Zurn Wilkins for water pressure regulation.
