On the positive side, users report that the setup process is straightforward, with many finding it easy to connect their cameras without experiencing lag. The video quality is praised for its sharpness, and customers appreciate smooth playback, making it a reliable option for both home and business security needs. Additionally, users have noted the ample storage capacity, with support for up to 8 TB hard drives and the reliable performance of the system. However, there are significant drawbacks that potential buyers should Consider. Many reviewers expressed frustrations related to software issues, particularly mentioning the poor performance of the associated app. The app is criticized for being difficult to navigate, plagued by language barriers, and it becomes a source of frustration for some users. Moreover, customers indicated the lack of tech support, specifically highlighting issues with resetting passwords and connectivity problems with certain camera models, which could deter users from relying on this system for their security needs. The lack of ONVIF/RTSP compliance is also a notable concern, as this could limit compatibility with other devices, which may affect users who wish to expand their security infrastructure. Overall, while this NVR serves as a basic starter system with satisfactory performance, it is overshadowed by various usability and support issues, prompting some Consumers to stick with their older systems or Consider different alternatives. **
