The Obihai OBi200 1-Port VoIP Phone Adapter allows the user to use Google Voice with legacy telephones which do not have any VoIP or internet connection. Users must pay for 911 service, or they need to pay Google to port their old landline phone numbers over to Google Voice. A monthly fee of $1.50 is charged to the user for 911 services provided by their IP telephone provider. It is possible to set up to four VoIP lines like Google Voice, which requires a separate Google account for each service on the obitalk.com website. The Obihai OBi200 can be used without home phone service, but an additional service is needed to dial 911. Customer reviews show mixed experiences, some users find it easy to set up and use, while others find the setup process confusing. The device stopped working for one user in August, however, this product has entered the End of Life phase, with end of sale and end of service dates in 2023. Overall, the Obihai OBi200 is an excellent product with few drawbacks.
