Answer: Are you just attaching the lens directly or using the 'C-mount'? I can only think there could be something wrong with the ring or threads not lining up (not you, but a defect in the threads). I haven't seen this message before. Reading other comments, I didn't have to set 'release w/o lens' but I would like to know if it helps for my reference. -

Answer: I bought mine for my Sony a6000 (E-mount). It came with the adapter and both front and back lens caps. I'm really happy with it. Can't beat it at this price! -

Answer: It’s 35mm on an APSC sensor. Not sure what the crop factor would be on a full frame or micro 4/3 -
