ROBERTS Adhesive Tapes Editorial Review
The Roberts 50-040 Underlayment Seam Tape has garnered a highly positive reception among users looking for a reliable solution to secure their underlayment during flooring installation. Customers have highlighted its versatility, noting that it’s effective not only for flooring projects but also for a range of other applications, including marking and securing items for events. Reviewers appreciate the tape’s strength and the thinness that allows it to remain unobtrusive beneath the flooring. The adhesive quality is praised, with many noting that it creates tight seams that withstand the rigors of installation. Users have mentioned that it is easy to both cut and handle, whether using scissors or simply tearing it by hand. One point of caution, however, is that the tape does not allow for re-positioning once it has been adhered, as the adhesion is compromised if removed. Despite this minor drawback, the overall Consensus is that the tape performs excellently for its intended purpose, even being compared favorably against more expensive options available at larger retailers. In summary, the Roberts 50-040 Seam Tape appears to be a top choice for both DIY enthusiasts and professional installers alike, offering a good balance of performance and value. **
