The All-Clad Stainless Steel Stockpot is great for making soups, pasta, and more, and can be used in the dishwasher. It comes with a lid that fits both the stockpot and the 5.5-qt. Dutch Oven. The lid and pot can both be heated to 500°F. It is fully clad on the bottom and sides, and all All-Clad products are made in the USA. The d5 line is preferred over the tri-ply line, as it has 5-ply layers compared to three. The three ply version is very heavy duty but the D5 version includes an extra aluminum layer for better heat distribution. It is great for induction stovetops. However, the stockpot is quite expensive and the coating can peel off after less than six months of use, which will void the warranty. Some customers have received the wrong product or the product with deep gouges. The handles are also not heat resistant.
