There was a slight odor of wood paint stain when opening the packaging, but it went away after washing the kit with soap and water. The cheese press was easy to assemble and use, even for someone with one hand. Users have reported making multiple batches of cheese in it, although additional weights may be needed for heavier pressing. However, one user reported that the supplied cheese molds are too small to handle the amount of curd when making cheese with 3-5 gallons of milk per batch, making handling the cheese a challenge.
