Stephen Mitchell (Editor) Religious Editorial Review
**** "The Enlightened Heart: An Anthology of Sacred Poetry" has garnered a wealth of positive feedback, with readers reveling in its ability to transcend time and cultural boundaries to deliver profound spiritual insights. This carefully curated collection features a diverse array of poets from the 2nd century to modern times, including luminaries like Yeats, Rilke, and Dickinson, as well as spiritual giants from Eastern traditions such as Rumi, Ghalib, and Kabir. Many reviewers have noted that the anthology stands out for its focus on fulfillment rather than longing, offering poems that speak directly to the core of human experience. Several readers have incorporated the volume into their nightly routines, citing its power to inspire and provide comfort before sleep. Descriptions of the anthology range from “pure gold” to “soulful heart-opening,” reflecting a strong emotional resonance with its content. While most feedback is overwhelmingly positive, there was a less favorable comment regarding the condition of a used copy that did not meet expectations, underscoring the importance of presentation for some readers. However, such criticisms are overshadowed by the overall acclaim for the anthology's content and its spiritual depth. This anthology has proven to be not only a cherished possession for many but also an excellent gift for individuals seeking wisdom that spans various cultures and eras. In summary, "The Enlightened Heart" is highly regarded as a transformative collection that celebrates the spiritual unity of humanity through the power of poetry. **
